China's fiscal revenue up 33% in September
Friday,October 16,2009 Posted: 16:14 BJT(0814 GMT)  xinhua

China's fiscal revenue rose 33 percent from a year earlier to hit 560.94 billion yuan ($82.13 billion) in September, the Ministry of Finance announced on Friday.

It is the fifth month in a row that China's monthly fiscal revenue has risen year-on-year, since it rose 4.8 percent in May.

The ministry said the strong rebound was based on the relatively low basis in September last year and a domestic economic recovery.

Fiscal revenue in the first three quarters topped 5.15 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.3 percent from the same period last year.

Fiscal expenditure in September increased by 32.9 percent from a year earlier to 657.74 billion yuan. This brought total fiscal expenditure in the first nine months to 4.52 trillion yuan, up 24.1 percent compared with the same period last year.
